passed away Saturday, October 10,2020. She is survived by her
son Kenneth E. Rice of North Little Rock, and her daughter Rebecca R
Daws (Robert) of North Little Rock and grandson Brice. Two sisters, M.
Genice Bogard of Higden, Ark., and Connie J. Bland (Keith) of Houston,
Texas. She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Austin, and a
grad-daughter, Breanne. Betty was a retired preschool teacher of
children with special needs. Having devoted her entire life to the
education and well-being of her students, she was happiest when she was
serving and making a difference while helping others. Just like with her
family, friends and her church members. Betty was a Christian, a Sunday
school teacher, an avid gardener and a reader. What she loved best was
spending time with her sisters. She will be dearly missed. Graveside
services by Rev. Dale Prater will be held Tuesday, October 20, at 10
a.m., at Pinecrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to Greers Ferry Missionary Baptist church in honor of her tireless
devotion. |
