Billy Wayne Pritchett
February 3, 1940 - May 13, 2008

Billy Wayne Pritchett, age 68, of Maumelle passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008. He was born February 3, 1940 in Little Rock to William T. and Martha E. Pritchett, who preceded him in death, and a son Danny W. Pritchett, who also precedes him in death.

He was a retired investigator with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Sixth Judicial District in Little Rock. A Navy Veteran, and active in the Masonic Lodge and a member of Levy Baptist Church in North Little Rock, AR.

Billy Wayne graduated from Central High School in “The Class of 1958.” He finished #1 in his class at the Law Enforcement training Academy in January 1967. He was an active member of Levy Baptist Church and the “Joe Lacey’ Sunday school class, Perryville Masonic Lodge #238, Scottish Rite, he received honors as a KCCH, York Rite, Past Monarch of Bendemeer Grotto, Past Personal Representative of the Grand Master of Masons of Arkansas, Past Patron of Levy Chapter #577 Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion, MM Ebert’s Post #1, active in Demolay were he was a Past State Dad, Rainbow, Past Assembly Dad, for many years. He loved to fish but most of all he enjoyed the annual ritual of duck hunting at “Poor Boy Duck Club” in Humnoke, AR until health forced him to stay home.

Patriotism and Masonry were highly regarded by him. He never grew tired of telling “Sea Stories” of life aboard a Navy Destroyer.

He found his niche in life after many years of wandering finally at Levy Baptist Church; he enjoyed his relationship with the Lord and never grew tired of being a witness for the Lord. Loved gospel music especially Saturday night with the Gathers.

Bill is survived by the Love of His Life, his wife, Cindy Pritchett; son, Charles S. Pritchett (Trish) of Mayflower, AR; daughter, Barbie Holladay (Bobby) of North Little Rock, AR; four granddaughters, Meagan Brantley (Barry) of Naylor, AR, Lindsey Holladay, Shelbie Holladay, Samantha Pritchett; and a grandson Scott Wilder. Poppy loved his grandbabies, never tiring of teasing them. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orville and Dorothy Spivey of Sherwood, AR; sister-in-law, Claudia Stratman (Rick) of Vilonia, AR; brother-in-law, Rod Castro (Irene) of Shingletown, CA; and nephew, Patrick Miller (Randi) and their children, Baylie, Taylor and Ethan of North Little Rock, AR and a host of friends across the realm.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2008 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400) with Reverend Steven Tiner officiating. Interment will follow with a Masonic service at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the funeral home.
