OCTOBER 6,

David Lee Johnson 10/6/1940 - 12/4/2020
After
a long illness, David is finally free of pain and anguish. He retired
from Arkla gas company in 1995 as a Vice President after serving 20
years. David is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Perrin and
father, Joe Johnson. Grandfather, Clarence (Bear)Speer and Grandmother
Bess Speer. David loved fiercely in this order: his son, his close
friends, his dogs (Sam - the first of many Labradors) and Zeb his last
Lab.
He
enjoyed spending time with his young son and his son’s friends. After
his son (Darren) and his friends started their band in high school -
Living Sacrifice - David was the primary supporter of their efforts and
made it possible for them to travel around the country and tour
promoting their band. His favorite hobby was deer hunting and he enjoyed
many a weekend and holiday with family and friends hunting and taking in
the great outdoors and the natural beauty of Arkansas. Survivors are
son, Darren and Darren’s wife, Ruth Johnson.
In
lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Arkansas School for the
Deaf in Little Rock, Arkansas. To sign the online guestbook, click
