The Rev. George F. Harden, 62, a native of Hot
Springs, Ark., and resident of Bayou Vista,
died Sunday, March 9, in Bayou Vista.
He faithfully served the Lord in the Tri-City
area for the past 26 years. He served as
Senior Pastor of Bethel Pentecostal Fellowship
in Patterson.
The Going Home Celebration will be held
Tuesday at 2 pm at Bethel Pentecostal
Fellowship in Patterson with burial following
in Ibert's Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, JoAnn
S. Harden of Bayou Vista; a son, the Rev.
Marty Harden and his wife, Dana, of Bayou
Vista; two daughters, Theresa and her husband,
the Rev. Steve Manville, of Patterson, and
Debra and her husband, the Rev. Torin Johnson,
of Van Buren, Ark,; two brothers, the Rev.
Bill Harden and Hal Harden, both of Little
Rock, Ark.; a sister, Barbara Owen of Little
Rock, Ark.; and six grandchildren, Bethany,
Dustin, Brandon, Raigan, Tobin and Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oster
and Lucille Harden.
