Allen Lemons, 81 of Locust Bayou passed away peacefully at his home on
February 9, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born January
11,1940 in Little Rock to Rochester and Addie Lemons. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Thadys
Lemons; sister, Mary Alma Whilite; and beloved grandson, Jake Crawford.
is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon Lemons; his children, Sherry
Starr and husband, Mark of Locust Bayou, William Lemons and wife, Leigh
Ann of Camden, and Debbie Evans of Little Rock and special friend, John
Neely of Locust Bayou; his grandchildren, Jami Lucas and husband, Boone,
Jordan Holder and husband, Jacob, Derek Lemons, Jarod and Sara Evans;
great granddaughters, Gracey and McKaylah Crawford, Annabelle and
Brookelynn Holder, and Kate Lucas; and step-grandchildren, Blaine and
Justin Starr; he is also survived by his sister, Shirley Woldren of
Santa Cruz, AZ; and a host of loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
was employed by Marty Wolfe Construction for many years and took pride
in his carpentry and craftmanship skills. In his retirement years, he
loved watching for the school bus at 3:30 every afternoon for Gracey and
McKaylah made the Lemons’ house come to life! He will be missed by all
who had the privilege of knowing him.

memorial service will be held at Locust Bayou Missionary Baptist Church
Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM. A private graveside service will
be held at a later date at Sardis Cemetery where Jerry will be buried
alongside his deceased son, Joey Allen, who passed away at 6 weeks old.
Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
