Saunders E-mail | Print | CommentsPublished: July 31, 2018Joe S. Saunders of East End passed away Sunday, July 29. He was preceded in death by his parents E.B. and Marjorie Saunders; brothers: Bill and Travis Saunders; sisters: Marjorie Tannehill and Fanny Brewer; and his son, Gary White. He is survived by many close relatives including Brian, Brent, Joseph, Jeremy and Brook White; Delbert and Kevin Greenwood; Anatolli and Victor Gataveatcaite; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also good friends: Rita Hicks, Larry Moore, Steve Gilmore, Dickey Haynes, Wesley Mashburn, John Stanford and John Graham. Joe was a registered architect, missionary, bus driver, preacher, Boy Scout Leader of Troop 80 and friend of many. He was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church and a preacher at Edgewood Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 2, at East Union Baptist Church in East End, officiated by Pastor Paul Roberts. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
