Kenneth Russell Weedman, age 76, of Corbin,
KY, passed away Monday January 18, 2016 at Baptist Health Corbin in
Corbin, KY. He was born September 26, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to
the late Charles Kenneth Weedman and the late Elna Lumpkin Weedman.
Kenneth was a professor at the University of the Cumberlands for 35
Years. He was an artist of acclaim and exhibited his work both
nationally and internationally.
He is survived by his wife Sue Weedman of
Corbin, KY, 1 son, Russell Weedman of Williamsburg, KY, 2 daughters,
Elizabeth Mazanec (Rob) of Omaha, Nebraska, Melissa Weedman of Paoli,
Indiana, 4 grandchildren, Rachel Mazanec, Jason Mazanec, Erica Coots,
Emily Coots, 3 sisters Carolyn Springer (Carl), Kathy Evans, Jane Horne
(Faber) all of Little Rock, Arkansas, several nieces, nephews, and a
host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday
January 23, 2016 at the St. John's Episcopal Church in Corbin, KY, with
Rev. Margaret Shanks officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00PM
