Our
beloved Linda Sue Brucks of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away February 10,
2022, to be reunited with the love of her life, Edward. She was born in
Hope, Arkansas on October 6th, 1940. She graduated from Central High
School in 1958. For 57 years, Linda was an active member of Saint Theresa’s
Catholic Church. She retired from Centers for Youth and Family after
working in the billing department for over 25 years. She had a passion for
helping others and she and Ed opened their home to multiple foreign
exchange students and loved them all as their own, even visiting all of
them in their own countries. Linda loved her family and found great joy
watching her boys play sports and cheering on her grandchildren’s
activities. She carried on many traditions, like baking Christmas cookies
with her grandchildren each year using an old family recipe and hosting
family gatherings for holidays and birthdays. Linda traveled the world
with her husband and her friends, always anxious to see new sights and go
on adventures. Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years,
Edward Brucks, her father and stepmother Elvis and Margaret McNatt, her
mother and stepfather Gladys and Robert DeArmond, and her brother David
DeArmond. She is survived by her sons Michael (Theresa) of Redfield, AR,
Robert (Alicia) of Hensley, AR, and Christopher (Heather) of Collierville,
TN; three grandchildren Justin, Lindsey, and Hannah Brucks; her sisters
Mary Winters (Charlie) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Tawana Neal (Chip)
and brother Tony McNatt both of Ripley, MS and sister-in-law Linda
DeArmond Young of Costa Rica, and a special cousin Gail (Al) Sheasby of
Carriere, MS; six nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews and
a host of friends. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on February 24th
at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church (6219 Baseline Road, Little Rock)
with visitation preceding at 10:00 am. Internment will follow at 1:00 pm
at Arkansas Veterans Cemetery (1501 W. Maryland Ave., North Little Rock).
Pall bearers will be Todd Nortier, Franke Hilson, Justin Brucks, Geoff
Wyonzek, John Winters and Joel Winters. In lieu of flowers, please make
donations to Alzheimers Arkansas, 200 Markham Center Dr., Little Rock, AR
