In Memory of Mariflo Weiss
Tesney July 23, 1940 - December 4, 2010 Obituary
TESNEY, Mariflo Weiss, of Largo, FL, passed away Dec. 4th, 2010
at St. Petersburg General Hospital. She was born in Little Rock,
Arkansas. She graduated from the University of Alabama, Bachelors' in
Education, where she married her college sweetheart Fred. Together they
traveled the world where Fred was active with the U.S. army. They
settled back down in Little Rock to raise their family. Mariflo taught
in Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas earn her Master's in
Education specializing in Reading. They moved to Florida in 1984 where
she taught with the Pinellas County School as a reading specialist until
she retired in 2007. Mariflo loved reading, fishing, camping, scuba
diving and gardening. She will always be remembered by her students and
family as a generous and loving person. She is survived by her devoted
husband of 50 years, Fred; Sons, Todd, St. Petersburg; Brett (Teri),
Seminole; grandchildren Shane, Trinity, Corbin and Devin and sister
Diane of Little Rock, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held 2:15 pm
Thursday, December 16th at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
