On April 14, 2017, Lloyd D. (Skipper) McDaniel passed away after a short illness. Born on June 16, 1940 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he was a member of the first graduating class from Hall High School in Little Rock. He attended Arkansas Tech University, the University of Arkansas, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Lloyd Josiah McDaniel and Lovie G. McDaniel, and his parents Lloyd Leland McDaniel and Aileen C. McDaniel Miller. Survivors include sister, Marsha A. Callaway, her husband Norman, nephews Douglas Callaway and John Callaway, great nieces Kaitlyn Callaway and Lauren Callaway, and great-nephew, Conner Callaway.

Private burial will be at Bellwood Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
