LITTLE ROCK, AR - Cycling is a big part of
Tom Turner's life.
So when he found out he suffered from an irregular heartbeat,
"That's when it all started," explained Turner.
he wanted to fix it fast and get back on the trails.
That fix would come from CHI St.Vincent's Hospital.
"I'm glad I did it I would recommend it," said Turner.
Turner received what's called a catheter ablation. It's a procedure
that destroys small areas of heart tissue where abnormal heartbeats may
cause an arrhythmia to start.
"It's a testament this really helped me. I have a lot more
energy."
Just a month after the procedure Turner's bike wheels started spinning
again. He even says he can ride for 20 miles and still mow the
lawn!
